Ideas are there to be found but it requires the necessary insight, tools and skills to know where to look and how to grow and use them to their full potential.
The Information Design division at the Visual Arts Department equips its students with everything they need to successfully search for, identify and communicate new ideas.
TUKS Information Design students showcase their best work of 2013
You are cordially invited to the 2013 Information Design Student Exhibition, Collide, at the Department of Visual Arts, University of Pretoria.
Over the past years, Information Design students have won numerous national and international awards during their study, ranging from D&AD, Loerie Awards, ThinkAhead awards and many more. Student projects are led by permanent staff as well as industry professionals who lecture in a part-time capacity. The exhibition is organised by final year BA Information Design students and showcases the best student work from each year group. Design work in categories such as social design for development, branding, advertising, illustration, animation, spatial design, motion graphics (and more) will be on exhibit.
This year, the exhibition opens on the evening of the 30th of October (18h00). Ferdi van Heerden, an international design and business strategy specialist, will officially open the exhibition. The exhibition will remain open to public on weekdays from 31st October to 9th November from 09:00 to 16:00.

I/am/in is an initiative aimed at enabling the Information Design division to support and empower a new generation of designers: by providing financial aid to students in need and helping them to cover costs for expensive materials and project production; by supplementing limited resources in the Department to facilitate additional educational opportunities such as field trips and expert seminars; and by supporting research and staff development activities.
